Wyatt and I built a Gingerbread house together today. Now I wimped out and used one of those kits you can buy at a store because it is HARD to make the homemade kind. We tried last year at one of the family parties and it was a disaster.
and what is funny about this kit is that Cody (the hubs) brought it home last year and it has been sitting on top of my fridge ever since.
Some parts were broken and it was also so old that the frosting really wasn't "frosting" it was thick and so hard to get out of the bag that I had to take it out by hand and roll it up and spread it on with my fingers.
Good thing that we will not be eating it.
Hey its the thought that counts right?
plus I think its cute.

Love these! Can you believe my 9 and 6 year olds asked to do Gingerbread houses this year?! YAY! I thought they'd be too old for it, but hey...come to think of it, I'D like to do one! :-) We're doing ours Saturday.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think the evil laugh goes: "BWAH HA HA HA!" hee! (well, not the "hee" part...that was just me).
Very cute! ... and I love the 'handwriting' on your blog... how'd you do this? I may have to try it out...

ReplyDeleteAdorable! We made one, too. Can't tell you how much saliva is mixed in there with the icing and candy. Good thing it's just for show. :-) Thanks for sharing these great shots.

First...the color stands out. Then the looks on Wyatt's face...particularly where he's looking at the side of the house. Great shots!
