  4. Hard to pick a favorite from these, they are fabulous, but the second and fourth shots I think win equally for me. Sigh.....I too long for a macro lens, like you I want to capture the detail but also get so frustrated at not being able to get in closer to the subject matter to even attempt it. I have just ordered some cheap macro filters to try out, they should arrive soon and I am keen to see what I can do with them.
