Picking Raspberries

“Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.”
Robert Louis Stevenson

To sit in a garden filled with overflowing raspberries is to sit in a state of happiness with out the worry that it will soon fade and today we got to do just that.

Cody’s grandpa has an amazing garden that enriches our life's over the summer and today we got to go a pick a few raspberries.

Not only did we get to enjoy the fresh garden dirt under our toes and the sweet taste of ripe raspberries as we filled cartons full of them we also got to enjoy the beauty that surrounded us.

Wyatt even help out with the picking…

But the person who enjoyed it the most was of course Cody.

He told me after that if he had the time the space and the money he would love to have his own garden to spend time in and I can totally see him doing it. (He of course is a “Produce man.”)

I feel like Wyatt will also follow in his dads footsteps ( to work with produce.) just like Cody did.

Because Wyatt had a blast.

And just look how good these look.

MMMMmmmmmm I see a homemade raspberry pie in the future.

Delicious!!

  2. What an incredible quote! I get so caught up in results--you know, to prove I've been planting. I am only to plant--I can't cause growth or harvest. Thanks for sharing that quote!
