“Play is the beginning of knowledge.”

It is in playing, and perhaps only in playing, that the child is free to be creative.”

Wyatt is starting to really play not just lets throw toys at each other and see what happens.

He is now sitting for periods at a time moving and talking with each toy. He is blocking out the world and creating a new inspiring world for himself.

To just sit and watch this happen is amazing.

How placing each toy in a certain manner makes all the difference to him.

How he jabbers at them like he is making this story up that only he knows.

It must have been one heck of a story that he was imagining because he sat there for at least an hour or so not once looking around for me…

nothing else in that room matter he was so content to just play.

  3. I love it when they play. It gets even funnier when you can understand what they're saying. So sweet.

  4. I agree Joann it does get funnier he started sound like a little martian and Tracie once I got a ton of pictures I started playing on my own with this set... it was at the local children's museum he played until all the kids that were their before us left. I was surprised at how long her sat still doing this...

  5. My daughter never really did this...but my son! So many adventures in his mind. I think Wyatt looks young to be able to sit so well imagining for so long. Way to go Wyatt!

  6. The pictures and the story to go along are just beautiful! I love it! It's a great feeling to just watch them and wonder what is going on in their little heads. I do it all the time with my boys! :)
And I LOVE the quote at the top. I'm borrowing that for my Facebook page! Thanks! :)
