Before and After

So I just got my new camera a Sony A550. I am super duper excited about it because its my first real "pro" camera. I have been using an old Sony camera from the husband that he bought because he likes "nice things" this camera I believe is about 8 years old and I have only been using that one since I did the wedding shot for my brother. before that I used the point and shoot I got because I wanted something to fit in my pocket (this was before I was WAY into photography like I am now.)

I took my camera out for the first time today it was raining and I didn't get to take the pictures I had in mind but I did get some good shots.

Here's the BEFORE:

and the AFTER:

SONY DSC

I edited in PSE8. I cleaned up the imagine by fixing and contrast, bighting etc... and then all I really did was adjust the levels to get more of a deeper color because that's what I love lots of deep colors then I added a little dark edges  to it then cleaned up the noise added my name to it, sharpened it a little and BAM I was done. That simple that easy took me 10 minutes tops.

here they are side by side.   I think its now my top favorite photo. I want to blow it up and hang it in my house.
