In God We Trust

Before:

 SONY DSC

After:

SONY DSC

For this edit I wanted it to look like it was rusting away to soon disappear. To do that I first cleaned up the levels, contrast... so forth. Then I used the lovely action from PW and the boost adjust the Opacity to my liking then I went back into the adjust levels and fixed just background because I didn't like that it was tinted blue. Then I added textures that I got for free from Everyday Elements but I set it to lighten the photo in the layers instead of the normal soft light, screen or overlay I use. Now I didn't simplify or erase the texture away from anything because I liked how it looked. I believe I did lower the opacity though. I then added an edge burn stamped my name on it sharpened it with the define sharp action PW lowered it a little then fixed the color noise and was done.

here they are side by side.

You go girl. It would take me forever to do all of those things you mentioned, but it must be worth it, bc the photo looks awesome.

I love the texture of the background
