I’ll let you grow for now.

After you turned three we left the celebration and drove to a small farm hidden in between the city to gain some more memories that day. It was not only the first time for you at a pumpkin patch but it was for everyone in our family and we embraced it with full force.

We excitedly climb on top of a old flat bed filled with hay and bounced on the bumpy dirt road as they slowly took us into the hidden pumpkin patch allowing us to take in all the beauty to be seen.

We drove further and further surrounding ourselves by watermelon patches, corn and wheat fields leaving as much of the city as we could until we landed into that stunning pumpkin patch we waited for, filled with more pumpkins than I have ever seen.

There were big ones, small ones, rotten ones, ripe ones and even green ones. We ran around the field touch and looking at each one until we could find the perfect one. The one that will make its debut.

When you picked your pumpkin out you carried it over to me with such strength I couldn't help but laugh and I thought to my self I’ll let you grow just for now.

Because the boy your turning out to be is going to be a fantastic man. Some one who has a kind heart, loving soul and the strength of a lion.

pumpkinpatch16pumpkinpatch17pumpkinpatch15pumpkinpatch18We left that day Wyatt birthing a new tradition but more importantly I left with a three year old who grew into a magnificent boy.
