Beth over at her blog I should be folding laundry has a photo challenge every Thursday and this weeks assignment was "orange." Now of course I thought of doing something halloweenish with pumpkins but then I saw my neighbours orange Halloween lights out on her window so I took some pictures of them instead.
This first picture I absolutely love! I added texture and color to the back ground which I think made it turned out to be pretty cool.
But then I saw this one in my files (since I always take a billion photos of the same thing.) and I loved that this didn't need a whole lot of editing. All I did was boost the color a bit.
Same with this one. I asked the hubby which ones he liked and which one I should choose for this weeks theme he said this bottom one. but I just feel like the other two are way better.
I am also linking up to Monica's blog for the Before and After.
so here's my before shot I want to use.
I using my PSE8 I cleaned it up fixing the contrast levels and color. then I added the boost action from PW then I selected just the light blub its self and went and adjust the levels to brighten it up more. I then added a texture that I found on the internet not sure exactly were on the internet though. then I used the lovely action from PW to soft the background. it had a little green color to it so I went back into my levels and change it to were it would be orange. then I sharpened it reduced the noise and then selected just the light and sharpened that. added an edge burn and was done.
what do you think?
